In recent years, the critical role of Information Communications Technology (ICT) in social uprisings has become very clear.  Specifically, through access to social media, mobile platforms, and internet blogs, people’s enhanced knowledge base has had profound implications for dictatorships and tyrannical regimes that have little or no regard for the interests of its people. A social uprising, amplified through ICT in one region of the globe, has led to multiple uprisings in other regions suffering from similar fate.  Through my blog, I wish to gain and in turn provide insight to the way ICT has transformed the structural power of knowledge, leading to societies’ challenge of established power.
